ProCare Therapy has an opening for a full time special education paraprofessional to work with a school district in Montebello, California for the current 23-24 school year. The position will be working one on one with a visually impaired high school student. The district would prefer a candidate who has experience with visual impairment or is familiar with Braille. This position will be full time, 30 hours per week until June 7th. This position will also offer the opportunity to renew for the 24-25 school year. Special education experience is preferred. This position will be contracted through ProCare Therapy and will offer a pay rate of $25/hour. For more information about this position or to be considered for an interview, please apply.

  • Candidate must be prepared to work with various special education behaviors, including but not limited to; aggression, biting, eloping, redirection, toileting, diapering, lifting, various medical need, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or higher preferred
  • Experience with visual impairment/braille required
  • Experience with special education or working as a paraprofessional
  • Background check, drug screen & fingerprinting will be required of all candidates
  • In schools experience preferred
  • Special education experience required
  • Interest in schools and education preferred
